Is it normal to feel the urge to kiss my turtle?

I love Turtles and I think they are one of the most adorable animals to ever exist. I have 3 Red Eared Slider Turtles and many times I feel like kissing them. Of course I'm aware they have slimy skin, might possibly carry Salmonella, and knowing this I won't kiss them, but is it normal that sometimes I feel like kissing them?

    I don't think it's any different than people wanting to (and actually do) kiss their cats or dogs.

    Everyone kisses their pet! Well, maybe not if your pet is a snake.

    Are they turtles or tortoises? A lot of people struggle to notice that they are as different as mice and bats. It drives me crazy!
