Is it normal to feel this way about facebook statuses

Is it normal to feel annoyed about seeing constant statuses from the same person. And to avoid it, I just go straight to my profile. I don't want to hide them on fb. This person happens to be a good friend of mine. Every time I log onto fb, the first thing I see is their status on newsfeed and I don't even go on fb that much or not as much as they do. side note, this person is literally always on facebook.

I feel your pain. It's one of the reasons I stopped logging in to Facebook.

For Clare especially: I don't need to know where you are or who you are with every moment of the day, I don't need to know every single piece of food you eat or TV programme you watch or that you might have a shower later but maybe you won't. I don't need to know what time you start work or (five minutes after you start work) that you are bored at work.

When you say, "Clare is upset", I don't need to be one of the fifty people who ask why and make you the centre of attention just to find out you're upset because you've eaten the last of the chocolate and now you have to go out and buy some more. I was concerned to know you were in hospital. I was less concerned after the four hundredth update about what the food was like, which doctors you fancy, and how everyone should feel sorry for you, your life is terrible and now you're in the hospital (for what later turned out to be constipation).

I don't need to know every reality TV show you watch and your opinion on every person taking part (they're all cretins. There, that's the whole topic covered and now it never needs mentioning again).

I did like to know what you called your kid's hamster and why. That was sweet. I liked it when you went on holiday and said you missed us all. I liked that you updated your status on the morning of your wedding day. I like the funny things you sometimes say and when you say funny things that happen at work (like when the soup exploded). If you kept it to just these things, I would have looked forward to your updates rather than rolled my eyes and left Facebook.

You're allowed to have an unexpressed thought. You don't need to document every single thing that you think or do. We will think of you when we think of you. You don't need to push yourself into the forefront of our minds dozens of times throughout the day. In fact, we're fed up of it. We're even a bit fed up of you and that's a shame because you're lovely in real-life. Why does Facebook make you like this?

To all the Clares in all the world, whether they be on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere, STOP IT! Just say the interesting stuff and then we will like you more.

    Amen.

      Good points and you're Right.
My friend also posts interesting things and nice things but I still feel that its too much at times. She also loves attention (I might be the only one of our friends who really knows this. I'm the one who always picks up on things) she even told me how she gets a little upset when someone doesn't comment on her status...idk lol

On a bad day, I can post like, 3 statuses. Usually, I use Facebook to vent or something like that. Sometimes I even vent in the form of haikus XD
