Is it normal to feel weird about anatomical correctness?

I am a growing artist moving onto more realistic pieces. I deal mostly in animals rather than people. But: I'm feeling a bit funny about drawing diddlers on my animals! I've never thought about it too much until recently but on some animals (such as canids or bovids from the back) it's more noticeable! So I dunno! Is it normal to feel a bit weirded out about it? I guess I'm just scared people will think I'm some kind of pervert...

You don't have to do anything, but nobody is going to think you're a pervert for drawing wieners where one would expect to see them.

You mean a penis? I am an artist too and I don't usually draw penises on animals. Even some famous artists put a leaf over the privates of some of their artwork. I don't think you should have to add a dick if you really don't want to. You also could just draw the animals standing or sitting in positions where it isn't as obvious.

At this stage of your art, do you honestly care what others think? You are still doing your art for your own satisfaction and education, so it should reflect your vision and not what others might perceive. As you move towards the commercial rewards of your profession, then what others want, and see in your work, could influence your pieces.
Right now, just have fun with it all.
