Is it normal to for a cat to eat lizard and cockroaches

I was ok for me till she hunted cockroaches which she has done many a times but today she hunted a house lizard and gulp it in a one go due to my resistance. Though she is doing fine now but I am worries if that can cause any problem to her health.

I had a cat that would kill many roaches and hold their corpses with his teeth.

  • Yes it's normal. Whenever I see a disgusting bug passing by I grab my cat and use her as a shield. She's my hero because she kills cockroaches and spiders for me. Then, of course eats them afterward.

  • It's not dangerous, my cat has eaten mice/moles/a lizard before and nothing happened to it.

  • If she's eating outside critters, it's best to make sure she's on a good worming medication. Other than that, it's perfectly natural.

I once had a cat that like to eat grasshoppers.

  • One of my cats ate a frog recently. I don't think there's anything to worry about. You can always go to the vet to make sure but I highly doubt anything is wrong, you would have noticed if there was.
