Is it normal to get a buzz cut for hot weather

My head sweats a lot have thick hair. Since I have moved to Florida with my parents find I sweat a lot here. My dad told me would be good hygiene for him to give me a short buzz cut. I know it will feel a lot cooler, he always gave me buzz cuts when I was a kid.

    What a silly question. Just don't get sunburn on your head. Happened to me once when i was younger. Yes I'm a chick and yes i had a shaved head for years. Not to the scalp but damn close. Oh I was so cute.

            I still live home with my parents, my dad use to cut my hair. He offered to do it for me. Really nothing strange about that. Was his idea actually I get one.

    My dad still gives me buzz cuts also. Like your dad he feels its a better haircut for me. He gave me yesterday and really buzzed it short this time like you just a small amount of stubble left.

    I used to work at a place where it was warm, and i sweated a lot. Like you, I had thick hair at the time (I'm a 53-year old male, and, where I don't have my bald spot--in back--still is reasonably thick, though it is bit by bit turning greyer), and was somewhat longer (I was in high school at the time). One day, I decided to have it cut shorter...I have never gone away from the shorter hair. I do live in Michigan, though. The comment about sunburn on your head in Florida should be taken seriously, as I have even had this happen in MI, though not so often.

      Yes it is cooler and I do have to be careful in the sun. I am actually getting it buzzed again today.

    Didn't really like my buzz cut at first but have to say I do like it now, feels much cooler and needless to say easy to care for.

    Well my dad gave me a buzz cut and boy did he buzz me. First he buzzed with a guard on the clippers and my mom said maybe he should go shorter. So he took the guard off and buzzed me again, I am buzzed down now to just stubble my head feels like sandpaper when I rub it. They both like and said it looks good.

      Do not think I want a Mohawk, wouldn't look right on me. I asked my dad this morning if he is going to give a short buzz and he said he will just buzz it all off. I am a little chubby so not sure how I will look.
