Is it normal to get an erection when getting the yearly rectal exam?

I always get an erection when my female doctor, does a Digital Rectal Exam. The first DRE she performed was quite legnthy, as I have had anal fissure surgery, so she was being very gentle. She inserted her finger just a little bit several times until she could get it all the way in. As she massaged the prostate, she asked me if I "was rising to the occasion" and I meekly answered, "yes, sorry". She sighed, "Whew" as she looked around at my front, and commented "that is OK, this happens with some men. I thought it was your prostate!" She is always kind, and gentle and I am no longer embarrassed hen it happens

    Its actually very common regardless of the gender of the doctor or the orientation of the patient. A full or partial erection is a normal responce. There's a much more of a concern if it doesn't happen.

    It's normal. I'm a girl and when the doctor touches my butt or anus it makes me horny I like it in fact. I remember when I was a little girl I was enjoying it I was on my back laying down with my legs up and the doctor had his finger in my butt feeling around in there and for some reason it felt really good.     Dude, I'm a straight married man. Last time I got a rectal exam from a woman doctor, it was awesome. Imagine some hot babe in a sexy nurse outfit with the rubber gloves on, working your prostate- (especially that) you wouldn't be able to control yourself. If she had wanted to, she could have made you come, just doing that. The prostate is a man's version of a G-spot.
