Is it normal to get angry at multiplayer games?
Sometimes I get really heated full of rage when some little douche kicks my tush at a video game, I like to try to master my games but it's usually a very long trail to do so.

im just saying what a the 12 year olds spout every 3 sec, and sexist and racist comment.
I for the most part try to send out good vibes on one on one games, like Fifa, etc. good games, nice goal, unlucky. doesnt always works but help with how i feel
That is obvious trolling dude... i have seen youtube videos...while gamers lash out at each other in audio... they are just bored and blow off steam having a go at each other...just a pity some take it too seriously...afterall they are just there to play and have fun...and should take the insults lightly and not to the head.. if they approach it in this way.
I'm a sore loser so sometimes I do get angry at multiplayer games. I usually just get excited and competitive, though - Not the anger you see in COD with little kids cursing over the mic.
I think it is normal to get upset however not a very good thing to do if its unjustified. For fighting games for example, if you lost then almost every time, its because someone was better. For that reason, its best to just accept that one needs practice and to keep at it. It can be very frustrating to lose a completely one-sided match but that is nothing training mode, learning of tactics and persistence can't fix.
Games are lame. I'd rather play fetch or go for a walk with a dog or cat. If it's gonna get you all enraged then why bother? Hobbies ought to make a person feel good and reduce stress not bring on stress and anger. I don't see the point in wasting time with something that gets you one all riled up.
I agree and disagree with parts of your comment. Its true that if something bothers someone that much then it could be time to take a break. The "games are lame" part though I can't agree with, that is the sort of thing that people say to things they don't like or understand and therefore must bash it, mostly from people who haven't really played games at all or group all games as the same. When approached in an unbiased manner, games can be quite fun and some people's idea of fun aren't the same.
Well, the games are lame bit isn't really bashing video games, as much as it's my personal opinion. I tend to feel like they serve no purpose. I dunno what sort of game would honestly appeal to me. Maybe some brain game, learning type of thing that could improve my IQ would appeal to me.
Regardless of my personal feelings I think it's a waste for OP or anyone to continue with an activity that causes them to feel enraged, it's not a healthy way to live.
Yeah, I just get a little defensive when I hear that games are lame given the different types that could pull even a non-gamer but everyone can definitely have their own opinion. Its like how when the Wii came out, people of all ages who hadn't played a game in years or at all would flock to the TV playing Wii Tennis or something simply because it was that much fun. I'd suggest Osu! to anyone, a good free music rhythm game that has popular songs to jam with yet still can be pretty challenging.
Of course games serve a purpose...but sometimes people would not learn the true lesson behind it and continue with the games playing them instead.
Many games are lame but definitely not as a media form, there are still many games such as bioshock infinite that show it as an artform tackling important issues and showing complex narrative ideas
There's different types of games. I enjoy Minecraft, because it's peaceful, and cozy. It's raining outside, and I'll make myself a nice hot cup of tea and settle down to play it. First person shooters are a different story. Some people can play them all day. But for me, they stress me out, and I can only handle like 20 minutes a day. Where as Minecraft is more like therapy for me.
If life is an illusion and similar to a resident evil videogame full of zombies thinking they are smart but braindead. Then yeah it is normal...it is just a reflection of the anger and frustrations you have with people in real life. Do yourself a favour - to answer this question yourself... shut off the xbox and participate in real life for a few days and you will see how similar it is to the virtual world once you log in again. Same with online trolls...they are just normal human beings who act like twits online and offline and you are entitled to have a wack at them.
I'm pissed off with a game atm, playing hitman absolution and my save has been corrupted twice at the same point
I don't know what that is called...as some said COD perhaps...maybe you can use your energy to do something more beneficial for mankind or work at an animal shelter to get in touch with your surroundings. Games give a tendency to suck you in if you don't want to deal with reality....then you get mad at nonsensical things like that....to not get mad at the real problem behind the screen offline. I believe it is a coping mechanism....prostitutes and strippers do it to. They would rather get mad at the men they play than at themselves for getting them into the situation in the first place. I just think it is unhealthy to get mad over something so useless...when you can get mad about something far more serious to work through that in order to get your life in order instead. Gaming mentality is the same as troll mentality ...they yearn for an escape online...to not deal with their problems that if once dealt with would make them grow as people.
