Is it normal to get angry over chewing/''smacking'' sounds?

So of course it's normal to think it's inappropriate and disgusting to chew with your mouth open (my parents don't get that). But here's the thing, I get mad even when someones mouth is shut and they're chewing bc I can still here them chewing their food and it sounds disgusting. I also hate that sound when someone has too much saliva in their mouth and they open their mouth a little and you can here their spit... idk, moving? Lol. That ticks me off. Me and my twin sister both hate it and if we accidentally do it, we apologize to each other. Lol. We've actually physically fought over this many times before. Does anybody else understand where I'm coming from?

the only time someone chewing made me angry enough to elbow them in the face was this boss of mine with zero self-awareness. he had this nasty habit of walking up behind you, standing right beside your shoulder and chewing like he was a fucking cat about to throw up a hairball. holy shit. I vividly remember having to muster such an enormous amount of patience in those moments so I could keep my cool, that I think it's part of the reason I rarely get angry anymore because I've built up a high tolerance :|

It's normal to be angry at situations when people do not realize when they're making noise when they are eating! My parents always raised me to not to portray that type of behavior anywhere, even alone, and I realize that it's just disgusting and I hate the deprivation of manners when I observe people chewing with their mouth's open...

Yeah it annoys me too when I hear saliva move around in someone's mouth. It irritates me so much that I feel a surge of anger and want to rip their head off lol.

I don't like it if it's quiet and people can maybe hear me swallow my food or drink..
I don't like when people drink coffee and that slurp sound is there.

    But anyway,

Oh yeah, that too. I hate eating in front of people too. If I am eating in front of people, I'm very shy about it.

My dad and brother-in-law seem like the noisiest eaters in the universe. Drives me nuts. I usually have to have the TV or radio on loud if I ever eat with them.

This is a common dislike. I don't like hearing my brother crunch his cereal in the mornings. I'm not sure why people are annoyed by chewing sounds, but they are pretty irritating!

i had a friend who didnt even like to hear themselves chew.

i dont like smacking sounds when people chew with an open mouth...but i dont get angry over people trying to eat lol. i would personally think its silly to expect people to be hyper aware when they are eating so no sound at all is made. so to me a waste of energy to get worked up over.

however i do understand and respect people not liking the sound. as my friend hatted it so much i would just not eat next to her or the tv sound would drowned out my eating sound.

My brother eats so loud with his mouth closed that he might as well eat with his mouth open. It drives me so insane I have to leave or I'll end up saying something to miss him off. I hate hearing ppl eat chips also. God its the worst sound

Oh my god,I hate thay too!It drives me crazy..I can't even eat in the restaurants because it's so annoying,or when my friends smack I have to tell them to stop and sometimes they don't,I wish they would feel that way too so they could see the struggle.I even want to cry from anger and I almost always eat alone.
