Is it normal to get annoyed when people say "ching chong" like this?

These days I get a little irritated when people reply to comments in Chinese online with "ching chong" on popular videos. If you go onto music videos on YouTube and there's a series of Chinese commentators speaking to one another, eventually someone's going to reply "ching chong". Even more ignorantly, the same happens with comments in Japanese. Yes, I know they are probably just joking but the thing with racial jokes is that they're supposed to be funny and usually work only the first few times. This time it's like Mr. Offensive and Ms. Funny were supposed to perform together but Mr. Offensive fainted on stage and Ms. Funny passed out drunk and couldn't attend. Yes, I know I should take a joke, but this joke is stale, unfunny and overused. They're funny at first, but then they become annoying, like having your inbox clogged with "Darude - Sandstorm" when you just want to know the name of the song.

Is it normal to be a little irritated by this?

Is there someone with multiple accounts giving thumbs up to all the racist comments and downvoting everyone else?

In 1917, a ragtime piano song entitled "Ching Chong" was co-written by Ted Baxter and Max Kortlander. Its lyrics are listed below:

"Ching, Chong, Oh Mister Ching Chong,

You are the king of Chinatown.

Ching Chong, I love your sing-song,

Why do your comments get so many down votes for no reason?

Maybe it's because the stories he tells us, 42 years his junior, aren't real.

I'm having flashbacks of that time I read Cannery Row by John Steinbeck.

maybe you should consider leaving the internet overall if that alone actually gets to irritate you. either that or consider acquiring a thicker skin on the black market.

Normal. I get annoyed when jokes are overused as well. Though I shouldn't be since I'm guilty of overusing jokes myself. lol

Wow, I haven't see anybody use that phrase since some movies in the 1940's. Are you sure you weren't watching TNT?
