Is it normal to get conversational de ja vu?

When I talk to people, a lot of the times the stories and anecdotes I tell I will be hyper paranoid that I've told those people before and that I'm repeating myself. Most of the time though, I'm not repeating myself. It really destroys the delivery of what I'm saying.

Why don't you just ask them beforehand? Like "Oh, did I ever tell you about that with the old duck man at the bus stop?" I don't know, just something like that. And then they'll say that they've heard it, or they'll be all "Ooh, no! What happened?":P Haha, something like that.

  • As much as 70 percent of the population reports having experienced some form of deja vu. A higher number of incidents occurs in people 15 to 25 years old than in any other age group.

Deja vu has been firmly associated with temporal-lobe epilepsy. Reportedly, deja vu can occur just prior to a temporal-lobe seizure. People suffering a seizure of this kind can experience deja vu during the actual seizure activity or in the moments between convulsions.

    You're going to die.

Yeah, I get all the "vu"s, I think. Déjà vu, jamais vu, presque vu. It's normal.
