Is it normal to get creeped out when my dog smiles?

I have a gray chihuahua named Lady. When she's happy she does this close-mouthed smile. It kinda creeps me out to be honest. Don't get me wrong- I don't mind when dogs do an open-mouthed smile. But she never does that, she just curves her lips at the ends. Whenever she's doing it I get too creeped out to even touch her.

  • She’s possessed. Close and lock your bedroom door at night and pray she is exorcised on Cinco de Mayo.

Dogs don't smile, they wag their tails instead. But dogs also wag their tails when they bite too, so be careful how you read it.

Dogs and cats can't smile, but it looks like a cat is smiling when looking at its mouth from the side, but that's just because of the shape of its mouth.

    • She doesn’t snarl, her mouth is completely closed. Her teet aren’t showing or anything.
