Is it normal to get manicures?

I'm a guy and one time I was with my mom when she went to go get a manicure. She had just picked me up from soccer and all I wanted to do was sit but she made me come in with her. Once we got in the place the people asked if I was getting a manicure, I thought they were kidding but they were serious. And to my surprise my mom said sure. I was going to kill her when she said that, but by the end I was glad and I have been getting them once a month for a year now. I don't get color on my nails or anything
and I'm straight. Is this normal?

    I'd like to get a manicure, but my mom would never go for it. :'(

    course it's normal. manicures are a good way to keep clean and professional looking.

    Of course it's normal! Most girls I know would appreciate it. If you're feeling less manly, think of this; I have US Marine friends that were in Afghanistan on a combat tour, get manicures and pedicures all the time. Good for you!!

    It's lovely for a man to have nice hands and nails. I would highly recommend this for men and would encourage my own son when he's old enough.
