Is it normal to get really upset with the usage of the wrong "your"?

It drives me so mad when someone says something like "your such a grammer natzi"! Is it normal for me to get upset at bad grammar usage, especially the your/you're confusion? That and whom.

It's normal but it's fucking annoying as shit. Keep it to yourself. Correcting people is extremely rude.

  • I don't like it when people can't think of a better argument to yours and resolve to trying to correct your grammar.

  • I always fuck up on this because I'm constantly using my iphone and typing really fast so I get words wrong sometimes and the predict function just fills in what it thinks I mean. I never go back and alter ' your ' because its too much hard work on touch screen phone

I wouldn't mind if the person said, "im stuped plz xcuse my grammer," since that's at least an apology.

I don't think correcting people is rude, but it doesn't really bug me when people use the wrong usage of your/you're because I can usually still understand the meaning.

Why do you not think it's rude? I don't think pointing out someone's errors or mistakes is really polite, especially on the internet. If it's an essay for an English class, that's different. This is the internet, where spelling doesn't matter since it's informal. As long as I can understand what you're trying to say, it's all good.

Well, I guess it depends on the situation and your point of view. I wouldn't mind if somebody corrected my spelling errors, and would only see it as rude if s/he was very sarcastic or mean about it.
