Is it normal to go alone to events?

I'll be a freshman in college this fall. There are a lot of clubs I want to be a part of, but of course I don't know anyone in any of the clubs. Is it normal to go to club meetings by yourself??

    i do stuff all alone all the time cause i don't have any real friends to do random last minute things such as shopping,going to see a movie. sitting on a bench making fun of funny looking weird people that walk by.
    i dno.technically i am not alone i am always w my daughter. but i wish i had a friend that wanted to kick it everyday and just do what ever

      Me too. My son is awesome but you can only say so much and chill so long with a toddler...and forget taking him to a movie.

    Yeah you will probably meet some cool people to go clubbing w/ in the future. Or if that's not your scene you can just go alone.
