Is it normal to go to a ski trip with random people?

Well actually, I went to a ski trip with people that I did not know at all. It was the first time I had ever gone snowboarding, and I thought it was a good opportunity. The problem is I didnt know the person who planned the trip, and was only invited because I asked to go. It was a three day trip, and on the first day I went up with the ten people, and was left to snowboard down by myself. I couldn't connect with them because the group consisted of two couples, and a group of really good friends.

Dang this trip sounds fun but also sucky....I guess it depends on why you went.. Did you go to connect with others?..or did you go to have a fun time skiing and snowboarding?

My personal experience skiing with strangers has been much better. Were you the only snowboarder? Were you very green and not able to ski the runs the others were cabable of? Those two factors are very divisive in these situations.

Well why would you impose yourself on a trip with strangers in the first place? and then expect them to accept you into their little groups?
i mean im not trying to hurt your feelings but thats sounds weird......like, if some random person came up to my friends and me and was like "can i go on vacation with you?" i would be like "um, no."

sorry. maybe next time make friends with the people before you go on a trip make friends with the people before you hit the slopes...
