So I did ask a girl, but she said no. Would it be wierd to go to the dance anyways alone? Is it normal for a guy to go to homecoming alone after being denied?

You can go to homecoming alone. In fact, it would probably be better. You can be there for all the girl's, and not just be there with a date that you have to dedicate all your time to.

No people go stag all the time. Don't let people think that you didn't go just because you were denied. The fact that you actually go after being shot down will make it look more like it wasn't a big deal to you. Which I personally think is better. Of course people are going to think what they want in any situation ,but at least they won't think that you at home sulking over it.
