Is it normal to graduate master's program at 26?

I decided to change my major my senior year because I was MISERABLE and after doing some fieldwork I was so terribly sad. I decided on a different major, one that I'm very passionate about, but I am very depressed that I won't be graduating on time. I'll be done with my undergrad at 23 and my masters at 26. I am so embarrassed and my friends and family are ashamed of me.

I'm 36, unemployed, have a cognitive impairment because I'm an x drug addict/alcoholic, I live with my mom and have a 6yo kid I'm not aloud to see, life has shat on me everyday of life and my family are proud of me.

    Because I keep trying.

    Some definite statements:

    1: Seriously?
2: Its imperative, no sorry, IMPERATIVE, that you pursue your interest, regardless of your age or what you did before.
3: If anyone doesn't like it, tough titties.

This is your life, you will do with it as you will.

I wish it was that easy. My parents chose to help me pay for my education so they are even more disappointed.

OK. I understand that. Money talks, right?
Hold on, your parents sound like decent folk. Correct?
They care for you? Or? So, lay a test. Sit down with your folks, explain that you think that your interests and skills lie in a different area than was originally mooted.
You are now an adult and now can make better decisions based on your recent experiences. And you'd love to have them supporting you. But if not, you have an obligation to yourself to do what you know is right. Like, japaneezy!

I told them about it and I know they were disappointed. It has been a hard transition, but I feel better about my decision.

Most people finish undergrad at 22 and then (if they jump right into a master's degree which usually takes two years) by 24 they are done with their education. But it's more typical to get some real work/job experience and then go back to school, so many people get their master's well into their twenties. I really don't think you should have anything to be ashamed about.
