Is it normal to hate a band even when you secretly love listen to it

I really love listen to MAROON 5 but hate to admit it to anyone. It always sounded to me like a bunch of cuckold queers who deserve to be punched for sounding like the salon girl with a high pitched voice, who gives me a haircut.

What is about this group that produces such melodious songs?

I can't believe it, I'm listening to them all over again. For the past 30 minutes, just can't seem to get enough.

What a strange love-hate relationship.

    I like what I like, and Im not gonna pretend to hate something I like or pretend to like something I hate or just don't listen to.

    I actually had a couple times where I was wearing a Pink Floyd T shirt, and someone asked me if I actually knew the band on the shirt, or if I wore it because it looked cool.

    Of course I know who pink Floyd is! They're my favorite band of all time!

    But anyway, you get my point.

    There's nothing to be ashamed of, you shouldn't care what people think of your music taste. If you like the music then great, don't let people put you down for it.

    You seem a bit confused about what you like and don't. As for worrying about what others think, well that's a waste. You can't live your life for other people or it won't be your life you are living.

    Own up to your tastes. There is nothing to be ashamed of ever. And I say this as someone who hates maroon 5 but the fact that you,or anyone else likes them doesn't affect me. If anyone shames you for your music taste just tell them to suck it and keep on jammin
