I really do not understand this type of logic. If you make such a big deal about this you must not have a lot going on. People make a huge deal over what browser you use or if you are PC or Mac. I always found this obnoxious and pretentious. If you have nothing better to talk about than how bad ass you are because you installed Chrome you must be a complete loser.

I hate it too. I even hate them more, when they look down on me, as if I am some lowlife idiot. Not knowing every detail about programming and computers, does not make me an idiot. It just makes me someone who isn't interested in the thing. Also, I got a life and my girlfriend isn't named Java! XD

I was once ridiculed in public because I still have an Iphone 4 (not S) even after I told them I don't even want a newer model because I just don't utilise all the features to justify the cost of upgrading to another model.
You shouldn't have to. People should just leave each other alone about this stuff. If someone does not want to upgrade maybe they are happier with a previous model.

They have this assumption that I'm poor or technologically disabled. They just can't comprehend some people are happy with what they have already.
I will only upgrade will my Iphone 4 bites the dust - I will not just buy a phone because it can perform backflips and jump thru fire hoops.
I actually had a phone I had a couple of years before it broke. It was a great phone and I loved it. It was a katana. Every upgrade of this phone was terrible but my first one broke so I was stuck trying to get upgraded pieces of crap that didn't work properly. Certain models seem to just get it right and sometimes the upgrades just end up losing everything you liked in the original model. People often assume a newer model is better but sometimes it just isnt.
I don't like those nerds who only talk to me about games and I dont understand anything then comes another nerd and they can talk for hours about things i don't give a shit about. It is so boooring
Not gonna lie, I feel pretty badass about building my own computer. It was a long standing dream of mine that i was finally able to accomplish at 22. I wouldn't act like a snob to somebody about it though, that's just hateful. Those people probably don't deserve what they have because they didn't earn it. That's why they act that way.
Also, I use Firefox. Chrome can suck it :P
Chrome? Wow. It's one thing to brag when you carefully select some exotic, supposedly better product, but Chrome... I'm sure some people actually prefer it, but mostly that's just what people install when Google nags them about using an old browser and "helpfully" provides a link to that.
Ummm I think I just revealed myself as one of the people who annoy you. A clever trap you set there, if it was intentional.
Haha, what's awesome bout that when there's so many high-tech operations out there most of us don't know about.
I guess the whole snobbery thing about computers is about whether one can get one's computer to do as it is asked. Some of us, myself included, often look down at our computer in fury, and wonder why it won't just do what it is asked to do. It works for ME, I am NOT it's employee! Where is Nike when I want it to "just do it"?
Perhaps those who have become the master of their computers (do whips help?), may justifiably have some small reason to be a bit snobbish.
Fighting about which browser is more awesome Firefox vs chrome or whoever doesn't have mac is a poor loser is really petty and stupid. They act like snobs since A.Have products not everyone can afford or B.Think their product is better since they are using it. I am sick of this Chrome vs Firefox bullshit. That is nothing but browsers. Its not like its super advanced programming. Any idiot can figure out what a browser is. It does not make them a magical computer wizard.
It's SO ANNOYING!! But then again, I turn into a pompous dickhole in my A&P class. You got an 11 out of 20 on that last quiz...oh...I got 19.5...BEOTCH!
But really. Computer snobs are annoying. I knew several in high school and they scoffed at my laptop model, laughed at my browser, then went on to brag about what hot shit their tech was. I didn't even do anything other than pull out my laptop.
I have also noticed that many of them are annoying preachy atheists so that doesn't make them any less irking.
