Is it normal to hate lawns?
I hate lawns! I hate to see manicured yards. Lawnmowers irk me. It's such a waste. I like to see creative and natural land use that serves a real purpose...food, shade, habitat etc. IIN?

It's not like you aren't right. It's just a weird thing to get mad at when there are so many worse things out there.
Let out the anger. Keep gasoline in your trunk and set some yards on fire.
Ha, between Monday and today I've cleared another 3/4 acre of land and will be seeding it tomorrow.
Oh jeez! Did you ever consider more natural landscaping? Since tone isn't conveyed via text just know I'm not being a condescending prick. I can see how it might appear that way. Do you really like all that grass or is there other reasons you have it?
Relax, I have many more acres of virgin woods.
What's the point of having all that land if all I can see out my window is a bunch of trees right in my face?
I also cut & chipped a bunch of trees (saved some good ones for firewood) to make the lawn, not what you want to hear I'm sure, but it opened up a nice view from my porch. About 40 miles visibility now.
It's not that I like grass so much, in fact it's a pain in the ass, I just like being to behold my land without having to use a helicopter.
And having an opinion does not make you a condescending prick. No worries.
When I was a kid, I had to mow the lawn, a job I hated. I swore that I would never have one.
Since I've lived on boats since 1969, there have been no lawns to mow around my homes, except the 1 square yard of astroturf that the dog uses for his "duty".
Lawn zero; me 1, I win!
As long as you don't hate grass. I live in the desert (Las Vegas) and I still love grass. I just want to roll around in it with a bunch of puppies!
I hate lawns. I only ever want to live in an apartment or condo. At most I could do a roof-garden.
I think it's important. It would be great to see more people gardening some food and using plants and trees to cut down energy used for heating and cooling. I'd like to see a reduction in the fuel used to run mowers and all the pollution from mowers.
When I see expansive grass lawns I just see such waste in many forms.
I once lived next to a lawn that was so overgrown, I got lost in it and ended up in Narnia. Weird thing was, though, there wasn't even a Wardrobe! Where's the wardrobe, Lucy?! Where's the fucking Wardrobe?
