Is it normal to hate my elderly mother

I am a sixty year old man. A few years ago I moved into my parents to help my elderly father to help take care of my mother. She has a lot of health concerns. The problem is she has become a nightmare. She treats my dad like shit, not me, but my father. She is basically killing my father and making his life a living hell. It is very hard for me to deal with this. My dad does not deserve this. I hate her to no end. I wish she would die and give us some peace.

Has she always been like this? If not, has she been checked out for dementia?

I know someone who was really close with her mother until the mother developed Altzeimer's, which brought a complete personality change from loving and affectionate to nasty and spiteful. Very sad and no cure either

I`m lucky that my revolting parents died years ago, & I`m not saddled with them!

i wouldn't never wish that on any family members, she must be the type that wont listen when you tell her something and she just ignores you.
