Is it normal to hate rugby?

Im a white Afrikaner south African, and when it comes to white Afrikaners there are three tings you need to understand about our culture

Christianity
Braais (Barbeques)
And Rugby

Really, that's all there is too it- and of course the occasional bout of right wing poitical expression but were pretty much like rural Australians or southerners in the US (The one has footy, and the other has American football, and all three have the same politics) taking part in rugby at school level is as socially nessecary as brushing your teeth,

But I don't give a %#@& about rugby.
My dads really quiet and artsy, and I guess that rubbed off on m, until the age of eighteen I still thought that girls really liked quiet nice guys (I grew up though) but I really just don't get the way some peoples lives revolve around the sport, and when a few random guys bliksem (Hit) eachother up over whose team ought to have won after a few drinks in a a bar you cant help but wonder what the hell its all about in the end

ive noticed there are very few posts on sport here at is it normal and I take it us internet trolls spend so much time here because were not athletic in the first place , but anyway still I guess theire must be a few people here from rugby - mad countries IIN?
