Is it normal to hate saying your welcome
I hate saying your welcome. It makes me feel cocky...but the weird thing is if other people say it to me it's normal. Anyone else feel like this?

I never bother saying it, I don't know why.
I say things like:
No problem
It's okay
No worries
Anytime
Don't worry about it

Sometimes. I really when hate I say it and the person who I said it to ignores me. Then I wonder why I even bothered to say it in the first place.
I'm not quite comfortable with it either and think it's one of the peculiarities of the English language. I'd much rather say something like "it's nothing" like in French or Spanish. It sounds a lot more casual and modest.
"no problem"
"anytime"
Or at least have a modest approach when responding. Like I don't like it too but if I say "Oh! You're welcome!" *smile smile* or you could cop out with "you're welcome, thanks for trusting me/sorry, I couldn't do much more" or something.
Your welcome literally means you are welcome to ask me for a favor anytime. how is that cocky?
YOU are welcome, you ARE welcome, i wouldnt say it like that that sounds cocky lol
