Is it normal to hate shampoo

A few months ago I stopped using shampoo and conditioner completely and started to wash my hair with eggs instead. The reason is that most shampoos contain sulfates and other strong ingredients that do more harm than good to the hair.
That worked over the summer when I was traveling, but now when I have to look presentable I have started using it again.
The thing is, I feel uncomfortable every time I need to wash my hair. I feel like I'm pouring poison on my head.
Is this normal?

I use a cleansing conditioner called Hair One. It's a knockoff of Wen cleansing conditioner and I buy it Sally's Beauty Supply. I now rarely use regular shampoo and conditioner. Also thanks to this change my hair is in great shape, is long, silky and has no split ends.

If you suck cock and swallow you will get shiny hair. Ask Greywulfen, Diamondgirl and RoseIsabella they all know what I am talking about here.

i use shampoo like once every few weeks or if my hair feels super greasy. I HAVE TO condition first, shampoo, then condition again because my hair is so sensitive to everything.

I like to "wash" my hair with conditioner only. It works as long as my hair is not too dirty in the first place. Sometimes I will use a tiny bit of shampoo if I have been sweating or have exceptionally dirty hair for some reason.

I agree with Bostonionese and I use a tiny amount of shampoo and I wash it out thoroughly.

You know what I wash my hair with? Honey. Then afterwards, I'll put on coconut oil for extra moisturising power. It's inexpensive and simple. Good for you for embracing nature's gift. However, take care not to get the yolks in your mouth. It would be terrible if you were to get Salmonella.

I work at a high end salon. The trick is to USE THE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER CORRECTLY.

Sulfates like Ammonia Laurel Sulfate are strong detergents that get the grease of the scalp. You are to use a quarter size or less on ONLY your scalp and immediately rinse out 100%. It's an efficient way to rid the excess natural oils/dirt from your head- which is necessary.

Conditioners restore moisture to the hairs after weather, dirt, etc dries it out. Use quarter size or less to coat only the ends of your hair. Rinse out after 2 mins.

Do the eggs actually clean your hair? If I still feel like my hair isn't clean afterwards, it brings me severe discomfort..almost like an OCD type of thing.
