Is it normal to hate the anthropomorphic idea of god?

The idea of a personified discrete deity is repulsive to me, particularly the idea of god believed by the Abrahamic religions. I wrote a song about it if you want to hear it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk8XI6Dknpk).

Is it normal to hate an idea so much that you're driven to write a song about it?

Believing or disbelieving in something has no effect on whether it exists or not.

I have always wondered what god is actually like. could he be an anthropomorphic being? or could he be like a galaxy that's intelligent, like on Futurama? yes there are other possibilities.

I think it is completely normal. The way I see the divine is as being divided into male and female energy which I worship as The God and The Goddess(I'm Wiccan). Its easier for me to visualize them as anthropomorphic but that just works for me. Everyone is different so therefore everyone's concept of God and/or Godess is different.

Yes, it's normal to write songs about things you feel strongly about, whether it's fear, hate, anxiety, boldness, adoration and so on. Interesting song you have written. What do you use to record?

I know what you mean about the idea of an anthropomorphic god. I can't say that I feel that strongly about it though (then again, I have been going through a bout of extreme indifference lately.) It used to give me comfort when I was young, but now it just seems foolish to me.
