Why is it that a few on here consistently turn to personal attacks when they disagree with a post? Do you think it's because they don't have the intelligence to refute a comment, so they must rely on personal attacks? Or could it be that they are so full of themselves that they think everyone else is just stupid? They certainly don't come off the better for their attacks, if the voting is any indication.

    Some people have difficulty with the idea that other people have opinions and insights which are equally valid as their own, and react in a very defensive way.`

    I don't really like idea that people turn to insults when they aren't smart enough to respond. I don't think people who behave in that sort of way are as systematic as you're giving them credit for, but I also think if they truly believe insulting people will get them anywhere then they're more stupid than I give them credit for. I think what's more likely is that they get angry very easily when their beliefs are dismissed; because they hold their beliefs very close to their identity, they feel it as a personal attacked and respond in kind.

    Not in general, but when people disagree about emotionally charged subjects, this reaction isn't uncommon.

    I don't hate people who disagree with me. I hate people who agree with the bad things. Most of all enablers that will enable any crime no matter how horrible it is.

    People are nasty to me on this site and im just defending myself. I can't help who I am. But if they Gonna b a smart ass i gotta fight back. Some are probably jealous of my bling. and tats. And the ladies are jealous of my men. I just don't know what to do. It does get very tiresome fighting with these supposed know it alls.

      When someone disagrees with your opinion, it is NOT necessarily an attack on you; they are just giving their opinion, just like you did.

      You know that I like your playful comments and I agree with you that some people here do provoke you (they say mean things).

      But I wish you wouldn't call people names or tell them to kill themselves because it's not nice and you're giving them what they want. They want you to react so that you'll say things that will get you banned from the site. Don't give them the satisfaction of a response if they're mean to you. Just stay your happy funny self and ignore the haters.

        I do agree with what your sayin, and see your point. but nevertheless. That Gypsy Sea Hag keeps attacking me, What am I supposed to do. Let him. If I get banned, so what? My life will go on. And anyway I have a friend who's a hacker. He might b able to get me back on. The only prob is that he's stalkin me right now. but maybe we will be friends again soon. If he would stop callin and hangin up. tryin to annoy me. He's obsessed. But he's a very intelllegent hacker.

    I don't know I don't think the answer is a simple straightforward one.
    I've always felt however, that people repress alot of their anger and frustration towards fellow humans and it does seem that the faceless interaction the internet offers gives them a chance to unload, especially when they disagree. The malice really comes out.

    I don't hate people who disagree. We all have our own thoughts. Our life history has given us our opinions. Just don't bash my opinion. Take it or leave it. But don't get your panties in a bunch over it.

    Depends what about I guess. I highly disagree with many people on this site, or anywhere for that matter, but I've gotten better at explaining my opinions thoroughly and debating my point effectively. Common sense isn't a matter of opinion but I've learnt to accept that some people lack common sense and I'm done trying to talk sense into them. But yeah, I'm a-okay with different likes and dislikes, and even religious and political views, as long as you're nice about mine.
