Is it normal to hate ventriloquists?
I hate them a lot, I hate them and their stupid puppets if anything I would like to rip the puppets and throw them into the dumpster fire.
They aren't funny and they never ever will be funny.

I like ventriloquists very much. I don't know what drove you to spew such toxic, hateful drivel from your mouth, but I highly doubt that ventriloquists have done anything to you to make you feel so strongly about them. I hope that one day you manage to purge all of this hatred you have pent up in your soul.
I find ventriloquist’s really cool and spooky. I also respect the vocal control/manipulation they have. And i love the movie dead silence which is about a ventroquist.
I generally dislike ventriloquists, but I don't hate them, because I save my hate for clowns.
You might be aware of a phenomenon that's been dubbed "uncanny valley" that particularly applies to robotics and computer 3-D character design. The idea is that we're instinctively fine with a humanoid figure that's clearly an artist's creation or a cartoon version of a person, and we're fine with something that looks identical to a human being in every detail of facial form and movement, but there's an area between those two points where something looks very much like a person but there's just something vaguely off about them which creeps us out.
I think quite a few ventriloquists' dummies are in that valley.
Maybe you're especially sensitive to this feeling for some reason.
