Is it normal to hate when people slurp food and talk with it in mouth?

So my family KNOWS I hate when someone talks with food in their mouth or slurps or chews super loudly. It annoys me sooooo much to the point where I will sometimes imitate the noise so they know how I feel and if it gets worse, I just plain leave the room, EVEN IF we are in the middle of a conversation. It seems like my family does not care about this even though they know and I feel like my mom super slurps in front of me and it annoys the crap out of me. Sometimes I feel like I want to hit a wall really badly because the noise of it just pisses me off. Is it normal to feel so strongly about this?

I know it's very annoying, but other people are not obligated to change themselves to accommodate you.

Put it this way: When someone talks with food in their mouth, I want to shoot them in the mouth.

Smacking your lips and sucking your fingers instead of using a napkin, bothers the fuck out of me too!

You know, table manners are not just for fancy people. Every day people can use them too. There really is no excuse to eat like an animal, even in private. We have been walking erect for some years now and table manners are definitely one of the positive things society has given us.

Also, try wearing headphones. Works in almost every situation where a noise is bothering you,

Where do you live? Next to nobody that I know does that here. With, the exception, of like a few guys but, they're younger boys anyways so it's not shocking.

You should visit Japan and Korea and have some soup/noodles in their restaurants. You are going to enjoy the experience eating with them.
