I don't know why, but that lol bs irritates me to no end. It is stupid, lame and way over used. What do I care if you laugh out loud?

    Fuck it.. I usually say "haha" but at times I put LOL. Everyone is different. I'd try not to stress.

    yea one time i was chatting with my friend on da PC and i was watchin him on his web cam. He kept typing smiley faces and lol and stuff and he wasnt even smiling... LOL(ok i really did just laugh out loud) I was like man ur not even about to smile, quit puttin that!!!! and the stuff wasnt even really that funny.

    LOL stands for laugh out loud, but it almost never means that someone actually laughed out loud. It's used to convey a tone, which is normally lost in written communication. Relax, who cares?
