Is it normal to have a cat visit you?

Ok, so there's this really cute cat in my neighbourhood. She's very friendly and started to follow me around when she sees me. Even though she's obviously got owners (wears a collar) and is well looked after, she likes to follow me into my flat where she stays for an hour or two. This happens maybe twice a month. I really enjoy her company and affections, but don't know if it's right to "borrow" someone else's pet. Does anyone know if this is normal?

This makes me smile. It's probably normal. Even if it's not, it's cute.

Cats are evil. They are messengers from "that bad place" sent by Demons to scope out our lives, homes and grandparents so they can find our weaknesses and hit us where it hurts the most. The next time it comes around DO NOT LET IT IN YOUR FLAT!! It's spying on you!!

Ha, my neighbors cat does this everyday. Yeah, it's normal, cats like to pick their owners.

ive done this before too! you ought to find oout who the owners are and tell them that youve befriended their kitty as well. I would imagine that since the cat is nice, that the people are nice bcuz they raised him that way, and if u tell them that their kitty has a pal they will think its cute.

This has happened to me on occasion too. I see it as the cat temporarily adopting me and I'm hugely flattered. Cats only ever do what they want to do and if they want to spend time with me, I must be doing something right.

My cousins cat whoms name is Putch Johnson, does this with another house down the block. That sleazy tomcat.

  • It's common, there was a few cats that did that here too. I don't let them in though but I pet them outside and feed them even if they already got a home.. lol.
