Is it normal to have a cyber stalker?

So i have a cyber stalker who calls me, sends me e-mails and eventually he came to my country.
It all began with just friendship on net and nothing else was planned.I haven't even met him in real life but after he came here he just won't stop contacting me. It has been going on for years now. The only thing he hasn't done yet is coming to my home. What can i do about it? Like i said i never met him in real life and hope i won't either. Is it normal

Call the police on him. I would say give him a warning but that could only make him more persistent.

How does he keep getting a hold of you? Why don't you change your email and phone number so he stops? Hopefully if you have a Facebook you never added him...b/c even if you didn't say where you lived he could just click on your friends and find out...is your name in the phone book? Does he know your last name? Does he know where you work?

I can't really think of a solution if he finds out where you live. You could get a restraining order but that wouldn't stop a true stalker who's obsessed with you. Wouldn't hurt though. Also if you gave him a warning it might backfire. Probably make him angry.

Call the police and press charges and get a restraining order against. Further measures you can take are: changing your phone number, email address and so on.

Ugh, I've had similar problems. A couple of guys have gotten too pushy and kept texting me over and over saying the same thing. I think you should just ignore him. If you don't talk to him, he'll get tired of trying and move on. Good luck.

Don't indulge him in any way. Don't answer his emails. Don't even read them if they have a read-receipt. Get caller ID and don't answer his calls. If he does somehow still make contact, tell him to leave you alone. If he persists beyond that, take it up with the police.
