Is it normal to have a dad who is 46 years your senior?

Hey all. Do any of you guys have a dad that is nearly 50 years older than you? I seem to be the only person I know who's dad is this old and I am curious if there's anyone else out there who has the same age gap with their dad?

    It's not typical to have a father, or even a mother so old, it's not unheard of, but it certainly isn't the norm. I think your dad probably got a late start, and an unfortunate thing about when people have children later in life is the fact that those kids don't get to have their parents around as long as most people. My dad had his mother, my grandmother, around until he was in his 70s.
