Is it normal to have a fascination with hell?

Okay, first of all, I am going to tell you all that I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that He died for me.

Now.. I have been fascinated with hell the past few days. I have been reading about NDE (near death experiences) and how people claim that they have seen hell and experienced what happens there. From what they have said and what the Bible says about hell, it doesn't sound like a very fun place to go. I read about the poem "Dante's Inferno" on wiki and it says how there are 9 circles of hell and depending on your actions in life, that would determine which one you would be placed in.

Sorry, I'm starting to blab >.<
So, is it normal to be fascinated with hell if you are a born again Christian?

    I'll let you all in on something: Hell almost certainly does not exist. It's nothing but a demented scare tactic.

      my thought exactly. life is hell with divorce kids cancer etc.

    Dante's Inferno is in no way based on the Bible, just saying.

    I'm not christian but I've always been fascinated with hell. I actually tried writing a story where the main character visits heaven and hell, both are unlike the way they are portrayed. I'll give you an idea of what my version of hell and heaven appear to be like.

    Heaven to me is a place no different than my life now. Ultimately, I believe that in order for a human to be truly happy we need misery in our lives. Due to this thought about a necessity for sadness I cannot imagine hell.

    I've come to the thought that heaven and hell are really metaphors that we use to describe our lives.

    No, it's not healthy to believe such myths are real. Many religions and gods are based on fear and guilt.

    It’s normal to be fascinated, don’t get too into those testimonies they can cause fear if your watching them constantly

    Im not going to say im fascinated about hell more so interested only because I need to learn everything about it because obviously thats a place no wants to go regardless if u believe there heaven or hell or not...I think thats sad if u don't but thats in the Bible about no believers.I don't really understand exactly what u mean about being fascinated only because there so much about it... are u fascinated in a good way or just curious about it?

      I'm fascinated as in I'm curious about it. I do NOT want to go there, I just want to know some things about it.
