Is it normal to have a hard time hard time stopping cracking knuckles?

So I have been trying to stop cracking my fingers for two years. It's so annoying. Three years ago, It hurt when I first cracked them, but now, if I don't crack them, they are stiff and sore. My knuckles are big and my ring finger and pinkie finger is bent (abnormally) toward my middle finger. My bone above my knuckle is skinny, but the knuckle is almost twice as big. I can't even put on my grandma's ring (she has one of those fat pudgy fingers). If I stop cracking them, will they go back to normal?

It's just air bubbles leaving your knuckles so your fingers are probably fucked up by themselves

Per my rheumatologist: there is nothing unhealthy about cracking knuckles and it does not cause deformities or arthritis like many believe.

I can't say they'll return to normal, as you've likely already disrupted bone growth, causing the bone itself to regrow- not something you can reverse.
The crack you hear is a sac bursting. This sac lies between two bones in a joint in order to prevent them from rubbing and wearing away at one another. Cracking them pops the sac, which it why you can't crack twice; healing is quite fast but varies for different joints (foot faster than back).
Get it check, as you can be on the way to developing bone disfigurements, as your bones are often touching now.
