Is it normal to have a irrational fear of your “evil doppelgänger” self?

Playing a video game about it. Where your main character is a guy who keeps having dreams and visions of seeing an evil twin version of himself and he eventually has to kill them at the end of the game?

What would you do if you somehow came in contact with an “evil twin doppelgänger version” of yourself? How would you react to them? Would you have a positive good reaction? Or a negative hateful and bad reaction?

If I met my evil twin, I'd beat the shit out of him. I kinda hate myself, so beating "myself" into a pulp would bring me great joy.

      Why do you hate yourself?

If I have to go into details about that, we're gonna have to go to a pub and have a whole lot of drinks.

evil how. i think all humans are evil in the sense that they're fully capable of committing it. i think if it were an individual clone of me unquestionably evil, then naturally i'd have a reservation but good isn't as equal to bad, it's much more so... so in the end... i think this clone and i will be afraid of each other...

I've had a couple of dreams about a dark doppelganger of myself and, like Alan Wake, it was a symptom of self-loathing. Your perception of that other guy in the dream is completely different from normal and completely irrational. Literally, it was so bad I had a hard time looking myself in the mirror for a couple of days after the nightmare.

If I met an evil twin in real life, it would actually be pretty badass. I'd follow him around and we would be partners in crime (unless he started killing everybody, then I'd throw him under the bus). Dream-evil-twin is a terrible sight, though.

I wonder how many people would see their doppelganger, and want to make out with it?

Would you care to explain yourself?? We’re talking about doppelgängers? Not an old song from the 1970s??

He said he wanted to fuck his evil TWIN, AKA !ncest, which that song is used as a meme for. It was a joke.

Called like “Alan Wakes American Nightmare” I believe? It’s on the Xbox One Game pass? I believe the doppelgängers name is “Mr. Scratch” if you wanna research more about it.

It depends if they would be an inconvenience to me, which they probably would.

This is very deep Jungian psychology. Of course you fear your dark side and of course it's an irrational fear because you can't prove it exists.

I could argue the same for God, The Easter Bunny, and Santa Clause? No one can prove they exist but people still can have their opinions and judgements about them I suppose?
