Is it normal to have a mummified house cat?

I have a mummified cat and I was just wondering if anyone else has one too?

I didn't mummify it, I found it like this and I've kept it ever since I first discovered it over 10 years ago. It appeared to have gotten entangled in some wire in the foundation of a very old house and must have died slowly of starvation and thirst. I have no idea of when it died. It could be 15 years ago or it could be 150.

I like the anguished appearance of it. It obviously died a horrible and untimely death. Yes, the cat in the picture is my actual mummy cat!

I tried to sell it on craigslist once but my post got flagged and removed. Unbelievable.

That's what I'm talkin bout! I think it would be respectful and decent to bury the poor kitty especially if the OP thinks it died slowly and painfully.

That's far from having a wet pussy. In fact your pussy looks a tad dehydrated.

Holy crap! I almost broke my ankle at the sight of that thing! It looks scary, I don't think I'd want to keep it. It doesn't even look real. Poor kitty.:( If I were to have a mummy, I would want to have a mummified mummy. One with a really cool mummy type name. Like, I don't know, Pharaoh Jethro or something?

I couldn't keep it; it would creep me out too much. Taxidermy generally doesn't because I actually find it really interesting, but something about that cat's expression really gives me the willies (and not in an erection way, quite the opposite).

If something like that turned up on my doorstep I'd take it to the museum in my town to see if they could give me any answers about how old it was (and what gender it probably was, so I could stop calling it "it") and if the wanted it to display or archive somewhere. If they didn't I'd probably bury it or find someone who was interested in that sort of thing to give it to.

How do you know it died slowly? Mummification doesn't mean something died slowly, it just means that after it died, it was in an environment that allowed it to mummify.

there was a mummified cat on a show called "Hoarders". it was burried under 20 years of rubbish. it would be cool to have a mummified cat from ancient egypt though.
