Is it normal to have a smelly labiomental crease?

My labiomental crease (the indent between my lower lip and chin) is usually the oiliest part of my face. When I rub at it (if I haven't just come out of the shower) with a finger and take a sniff, I find that it has a distinctive pungent smell. IIN?

It's probably bacteria, maybe some type of fungus. You might want to talk to a dermatologist. It's not normal to have that happen on your face. Until then, it might help to keep the area as clean and dry as possible. Any moisture makes a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and fungus.

Anyways, good luck with this, and don't panic. It can probably be cleared up easily with medication.

Rub a bit of deodorant into the crease after a shower.
