Is it normal to have an attraction to your older, same sex teacher?

Im 17 and have an attraction to a teacher. I'm a girl and so is she. She is in her late 40's-early 50's though she looks to be about 40. I feel so wrong. I will not do anything because it is insane to even have these feelings. I used to think it was just that i looked up to her but sometimes i fantasize about us being closer in age so I can be with her. I just love her and who she is. She is my favorite teacher too and she knows me well in school related aspects. She even told me i remind her of her daughter. But I just feel like i wish she was not so old or mature than me and I can't understand. maybe I just like older women. I don't know, help?

Yes, it's normal. It's good that you have no intention to act on this, as it would jeopardise this woman's career.

You can't help who you are attracted to. It's a biological function that can't be explained. There's nothing to "help". You simply liked older women.

    I'm 24 and I like older men. That's fine.

I had an older female prof that I really admired for her intelligence, and sometimes the feelings crossed over into a kind of crush (:
