Is it normal to have an intense fear of industrial machinery?

Since I was a little kid I was always terrified by the thoughts of factory equipment, boiler rooms, nuclear power plants and other such large or noisy machines. I have a lot of nightmares in which I get crunched in some giant mechanical monstrosity. I also have some where i'm in the water, about 50 meters off the beach (no one else is in the water) and something as huge as a cruise ship comes by and runs me over. It scares the shit outta me.

After all the terrifying work accidents I've heard, I don't want to be anywhere near a factory machine. O.o

Elevator machinery rooms are kinda fun. Don't put your fingers in certain locations, though.

LOLOLOLOL. Sometimes, the funniest parts of our fears is how irrational they are... I mean, when was the last time that a nuclear power plant called you and invited you in for a tour? I totally get it though. Its just like i cannot watch the guys at the delislice cheese and lunchmeat for me. I am so sure that they are going to get the end of their finger and start screaming like a banshee. Ironically, at the local market i frequent it happened. a woman got her hand crushed by a box crusher. Thats why i totally get your fear. I mean, if i had of witnessed that...
