If I am standing right next to an armed person, guard police etc I have a strong urge to slip the gun out of the holster or grab it. Is this normal do others feel this? btw I don't want to fire it just take it.

You might be surprised how hard it is to take a gun from a holster when you aren't pulling it from the correct direction. Besides that, most people with a CCW use a SERPA holster, which makes it pretty difficult to just "grab and go". I can't speak for everyone, but I know that if I saw someone - anyone - you - take a cop's gun from his holster for any reason, I would draw my weapon on you. And I would bet that anyone else who is carrying would do the same. There is no telling what someone is thinking, and I won't let an innocent officer lose his life because someone wanted a thrill. Be smart. The police are there to serve and protect. Help them help you, by not doing dumb stuff.
