Is it normal to have been terrified of shower heads as a kid?

For real, I had dreams that they would follow me, that I was in a huge room with them and they were like 3 stories high. They all looked so menacing and they would spray me nonstop and there was no handle to turn them off, because they were automatic and had minds of their own.

Just wondering if this was normal or was I just a weird kid?

I was scared of them too. I had nightmares of them morphed with rotating Fans (the tall and thin ones). They were horrible and the old shower head reminded me of a evil serpent. I was scared shitless that they would stretch their necks and slither out of the bathroom to try to hurt me in my sleep. O_0 I feel your pain.

The showerhead in my shower does sneak attacks on me sometimes(when I accidentally leave the shower nob pulled up). My poor sleepy self never sees it coming either...

It's normal to have fears/nightmares as a kid, but I take it you've overcome that fear now, so that's a good thing. I was scared of the shower when I was about 2, but it didn't take long to get past it.

Not normal, but as long as this fear doesn't follow you into adult hood I see no reason for alarm. Kids have strange fears!
