So for the past few weeks, ive been getting muscle twitches (fasciculations) all over my body about 4-5 times a day.
I have facial spasms when i get stressed.
And when I've been working all day and lay down to rest in my bed my muscles sometimes twitch a little before I can really relax ^^
sometimes I have a slight twitch in my neck completely random but I thought I was the only one that had that problem.
When I was attending university as a mature student (I was about 30), I suddenly developed a twitchy left eyelid. I realised after a while that it was directly related to how stressed I was feeling.
I don't think it's ever that obvious to anyone else, but it makes me feel like the Commissioner Dreyfus character in the Pink Panther films.
Hahahahaha, I had a "mature" boyfriend whose left eye would twitch uncontrollably whenever he was nervous about something
- and it usually was when his ex-wife was trying to get through to him when we were on a date. Good times! Thanks for the memory (and the Pink Panther memory, too!)
Based on the extensive information you provide, my diagnosis is
Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. You're going to have the privilege of dying of a literally one-in-million disease.
To be serious, why are you asking a bunch of random internet people this question? I really doubt if any medical doctors waste their time hanging out here, and even if there were, they wouldn't be able to diagnose you based on one symptom without any context.
Dehydration can cause all sorts of weird symptoms, and it's summer. Are you drinking enough fluids that your urine is pale yellow?
Excessive caffeine can cause random muscle contractions and trembling. Have you been drinking lots of coffee and energy drinks?
Lack of sleep can cause muscle twitches. Have you been getting enough rest?
Some medicines and calcium and magnesium deficiency can cause muscles to contract involuntarily. Have you started any drugs or has your diet changed in the last few months?
Our bodies are not perfect machines, and we all get weird little random twitches and spasms now and then. If you start to worry about them, you'll notice them more.
If they're persistent and get worse, you should see a doctor. The cause is probably benign, but muscle twitches can be the initial sign of several serious illnesses.
