Is it normal to have discovered a "water god"

So, last year we were at Maui for a few weeks, and one of my friends and I were at the beach messin around, then he gets a pint cup, fills it with dry sand, and pours it in the ocean, now, the waves were very low, but then this 3 foot wave comes out of nowhere and hits us, we then got a cooler and filled it up with dry sand, and hurl the sand into the ocean, a heuge wave then comes and hits all the people near the water. Later we buy a 5 gallon tub, fill it up, an pour it in! A 6 foot wave swamped us, and we got hit by corral , and sea urchins. Is this normal?

    omg the same thing happened to me! I was in japan and i poured sand into the sea and a massive tsunami came in, i managed to dig a hole into the sand with this laptop and am still trapped in there. I do not know why my internet connection still works :P

    yes that's normal for hawaii. sometimes you get big waves. just ask any surfer
