Is it normal to have dry & oily skin?

so my skin is naturally oily [on my face] but every night/morning when I wash it it gets really dry and skin starts to peel around my mouth, on my nose and sometimes on my forehead. [so basically everywhere] but as soon as I put mosturizer on it, it gets super shiny and it disgusts me Any advice?

Girl I would recommend putting some Nivea lotion on before you go to bed. I used to wake up with lips so ashy they could be used as sidewalk chalk but now that I put lotion on them I don't get that no mo'

Ain't nobody got time to be ashy.

My sisters have the exact same problem because our heritage is Italian and they got the very pretty, olive-tone, but oily skin. What works well for them is to use a mild salicylic acid face wash (Neutrogena makes a great one!). It might sting a little, but it's actually not that harsh on your skin.
Before bed, my sisters and I all use an oil-free moisturizer (again, Neutrogena has a good one). Oil-free is the important part because it will keep your skin healthy and moisturized without adding more of that greasy feel.
I hope this works as well for you as it does for my sisters! And try not to worry too much, other people never notice this stuff as much as you do. :)

I have the same problem, if it's happening after washing perhaps the soap you're using is too harsh? And maybe try a different mosturizer too, I use Aveeno and it doesn't make my face too shiny.
