Is it normal to have headaches so bad you puke and want to scream

I have no money for a doctor visit y'all, I'm 23 and in college and absolutely broke.

I have migraines maybe once a month, but I've been recently getting headaches so bad it feels like my teeth are being pulled out of my skull and it makes me want to smash my head into a wall. I vomit everywhere during these headaches that last maybe an hour or two and put a sock in my mouth so I don't yell when the waves of pain come. I've tried weed, dope, pain killers, horse tranqs, migraine meds, booze, literally everything to try to dull the pain.

I've had a form of minor cancer in the past down in the nether regions, and a psychotic illness, and that gave me a huge phobia of doctors and getting diagnosed with something spooky. I'm one of those "It's better not to know," type people when it comes to this stuff.

Home remedies? Cheap tricks? I'm really open to anything at this point. I think my roommate is sick of me complaining lol

Only thing that works for my migraines when they get like that is to ride them out. I'm lucky enough that I can pre empt them and sleep and/or take pills. Sometimes essential oils or migraine patches work, but ultimately sleep or pills or both are all that work. My worst was the third in one week, lying in bed sobbing uncontrollably for eleven hours. I was considering getting a cab to the hospital for a shot to make it stop.

If you know the triggers, avoiding those is the best step, but sometimes they are unavoidable.

If you can't manage it, you'll have to seek medical attention. Sometimes that is the only option, like it or not.

Have you have your eyes tested? Have you tried Feverfew capsules both to prevent and treat migraines?

If you're female and the migraines coincide with phases of your menstrual cycle, the contraceptive pill could help.

Where on earth do you live that there's no possibility of seeing a doctor for lack of money?

I rarely get migraines since I went through menopause, but I had them from puberty onwards. The only prescribed drugs that ever worked for me were to take one temazepam followed immediately by one or two panadeine forte, then lie down somewhere dark and quiet. Mine were usually triggered by flickering fluorescent lights, but sometimes occurred for no reason I could ascertain.

They're the bastards of all headaches in my opinion: I hope you can find a way of treating them and also possibly preventing them if you can work out what the triggers are for you, they can vary from person to person, ranging from chocolate to tomatoes and heaps of other stuff. Some of mine came from tension in my neck and shoulders.
