Is it normal to have my first period for just a day?

So, I was at school and got my first period. I went to the nurse and everything. But, It stayed 4 a day only . Help??

    That is not normal! the first time you have your period a little scary alien is supposed to pop out and and recite 'Are you there God it's me Margaret' the entire novel. If this does not happen you need to amputate your left leg with an axe.
