Is it normal to have no motivation at all left for school?

I don't know what's really going on but Im getting extremely tired of school. Right now I'm in college studying IT (Computers'N'Shit) and at first it looked kinda interesting.

1 year has passed and now my motivation is completely gone, I have no good grades left and my life sucks, okay not really, I have a girlfriend, we get the good times going but I'm feeling like I'm getting more socially awkward by all the studies and all computer lessons I've had.

Another thing is that I lack of sleep! But hey try telling yourself that you need to rest, when playing video-games and/or scrolling through facebook news. It's hard! At least for me it is!

But somehow it all has to do with one thing: School.
School is the reason for all this, I mean school has made me lazy!

Is it normal for me to have no motivation at all left for school? Can someone please hear me out and help me feel better for school and for everything else in life without necessary killing all the stuff I do like to do?

Thank's!

For me it depends what class it is. I love science and math but history and sociology often make me depressed.

In my experience it's normal to feel that way, even to resent your studies for making you feel disconnected from "real life". So it is important to look ahead, imagine where you'd like to be in 1 or 2 year's time, to set definite goals. Rather than filling your time with trivial things, you need to prioritize your studies. You could try some kind of reward system to this end, e.g. after finishing an assignment or study session, do something you enjoy. It doesn't have to be all work and no play.

Well, have you heard of senioritis? It's basically when it's your senior year and you become extremely lazy, well that is your life currently. I will probably be plagued with the disease next semester. However, coming from a student who drowns himself with AP classes, I can say that I can empathize with what you say. School is draining and difficult, and at times you catch yourself questioning where this education will take you. I've come to surmise a reason a as to why I will continue my education, which is that I want to learn. Remember how interesting IT was when you first took it? Try to recapture that feeling. Learning can be a great vehicle in that one can accelerate his personal drive to succeed. If one has the desire to learn, college life won't be so bad since intellectually expanding his mind will be the tool he needs to simultaneously have fun and improve his future.
