Is it normal to have the same girl reappearing in every dream?

Ever since 6th grade I've had a dream where there's a girl I know with medium brown hair and I have strong feelings for her, but I'm watching her from afar and in every dream she somehow injures her head and I try to help her after the accident--- but when ever I try to see her face I wake up. She's been growing up with me since then. I feel a really strong connection to her and I don't know why. I might even love this mystery girl. I tried to see her face and she ran away playfully and got killed. She's been killed in every dream of mine since I can remember. Its always her in different scenarios. For example, she is crossing the street and I called for her, she turned to look at me and she got hit by a car and then her head split open on the curb of the street. I rush over to her and I try to help, but when I try and see her face I wake up.

    Maybe you witnessed something like that when you were little but don't really remember. :o

    I'm not a shrink, but maybe you want a girl that you think you are not worthy of or is unattainable. So in your dream you make her completely helpless (split up head) and in this scenario you 'have a chance'. You can be the knight in shining armor and save the day. What is messed up about your dream is that you still don't get the girl even in her weakened state. You don't see her face and you can't be the hero. That has to be VERY frustrating. Just realize, that most girls, even the most unattainable don't need saving in such a dramatic way. Just be a gentleman and be a ready friend. You don't need to save them, just be steady and interested in her 'stuff' and you will be fine.

    Well, it seems strange, maybe you relate that girl with any girl you loved so much, and she dies in every dream cause you really want to know who is her.

    Normal. I've been having dreams with re-occurring characters for about a decade. I don't interact with them, but watch them live their lives. In some dreams they're saving their home planet from an enemy and in others it's just mundane stuff they do on their downtime.
