Is it normal to have this big a phobia of clowns?

Even writing this makes me jittery... I have a strong phobia of clowns. Whever my friends tease me and talk about them i gota leave the room and ill b afraid for hours after. I saw incideous and the clown puppet that was in the backround and only on the screen for a few seconds made me scream and grab my friend, then i cud hardly walk out of the theater aftr. My friend and i wer playing sims 3 and scrolling thru the diff makeup u cud put on ur person, when we passed the clown makeup i yelled and an hour later when she asked me to go get some water i couldnt even walk downstairs without shaking and looking all around me

    Yea its normal. Its called Coulrophobia(: I have it too. Sometimes theres a reason for it.. sometimes there isnt.
    My reason: rape. Yep, raped by a clown in new york when i was 4 durin halloween.
    About a month later, my family put on the movie IT and .. ugh. it was um HORRIBLE. oh god.
    I had a panic attack and collasped, then woke up, had another panic attack and it took two hours and a needle to calm me down. Ever since them, sheer terror. Esp when ppl find out and they do stuff intentionally. Ugh . fml But yea its normal. Unfortunate.. but normal indeed.

    Don't watch It.

    But my older brother has the same fear. I know a lot of people who're afraid of clowns. It's normal.

    I would be too, if I lived next to a circus. But considering I'm nowhere near where a clown would be, I don't really care.
