I don't know why but I am incredibly afraid of vacuums. I can't be near them when they are on or else I freak out.

I'm scared of them too. I hate the noise they make and how they glide and suck things up! They are really creepy!
Its okay. Although I'm not afraid of them I really hare the noise they make.

A vacuum can be a common fear if it relates to its sound or its purpose of suction. I had a dream of getting sucked into one, and it was pretty scary. :P
I remember this show I used to watch when I was 3 called the TellaTubbies or something, and there was this alive vacuum cleaner thing called Shnoo Shnoo or some dumb shit like that, and it scared the hell out of me. To this day I am scared of that Shoop Shnu thing, but not vacuum cleaners no. SOrry
Well at least you have a good excuse not to the vacumming. I might try using that one as an excuse, too. xx
I'm afraid that I might get sucked up into one :L or something might pop out and grab me and pull me in :L. Don't worry you're not the only one :)
My dog is afraid of the vacuum. One time she shit on the couch because she was so afraid. She avoids it whenever it comes close. Now she likes to lunge and bark at it.
